Can any one give me Pro & Cons on the EOS 7D & EOS 60D? I currently have the Rebel Ti2. Thanks Javier Ortiz Dallas, TX Date: 02/19/12 15:08 Re: Canon EOS Author: philhoov I have the 60D kit that included the 18-200mm lens ~ from Costco @ about $1,300.
It replaced an older Rebel xSi that was not nearly as well-built/designed as the 60D. Incredible value for the money and very sharp images. The focal range of that lens makes the package the ultimate all-around camera. I also have a 5D Mark II and three L-series lenses and find myself leaving it @ home because the 60D is easier to use and less stuff to haul around. And, it shoots HD video too! compact flash card, I personally prefer the SD cards. The 7D build quality is solid as a rock. I've had the thing out in pouring rain, scorching heat and brutal cold. Only once had a problem in the cold. Turned it off, back on, and all was well. Burst mode is superb. When shooting a 125 MPH Acela on the NEC, it handles it like a champ. Battery life has always been OK, but I ALWAYS carry a spare. If the $ is available, an "L" series lens or two always helps. Another drawback to me is the sheer weight of the thing, compared to the T3i, it's downright heavy. Build quality comes at a sacrifice. Overall, the 7D is money well spent, but, I think Canon may be in the late stages of releasing its replacement, not certain though. Hope I've assisted some. Less weather sealing. I think the body is a little lighter due to two materials used to make it. Video didn't rate any higher in reviews.

The 60 was cheeped to make it more in line with Nikon's 90 line price wise. |
