DSLR Video 30 FPS vs 60 FPS
Author: UP9000

For those of you who film video with a DSLR,how much of a difference do you see between 30 FPS and 60 FPS? I am looking to invest in a new rig, yet would like to not have to spend more than I have to. Lots of great DSLR's out there that film up to 30 FPS that can be had for a song. Just curious to get your take.

Thank you!

30 fps works for me with the Nikon D600. I've got a video
post or two here to check on TO.

I got a camera which happened to do 60 FPS. But it seems that - unlike the increasing resolution - no one's really pushing for increased frame rate. If I read Wikipedia correctly, even DCP - the movie studios distribution medium - supports 60 FPS only for 2K resolution and not for 4K.

are you referring to a camera with 30p vs 60p?   or what many call 29.97 vs 59.97 fps?  am using 29.97 on my Canon 7d Mark II and its doing just fine. Plus the amount of data that has to be saved for 60p.......

It's actually 29.97 or 59.94 frames per second.
