Sony Handycam HDR-CX220E
Author: steveandrews

Hello everyone,

I've just "inherited" the above handy-cam. Is it worth my while learning how to use it or is the quality too poor to make it worth my while?
All ideas gratefully received.

Many thanks, Steve Andrews

It seems to me that the only person that can answer that is you. Everyone has different standards and expectations. Shoot some videos and see if you enjoy doing it.

Google HDR-CX220E. There are links to a couple of test videos and some reviews. I have used this method to choose video cameras.

Well, CNET didn't think much of it. Poor video quality by their assessment. It was only $199 when new.

is this a european version? pal vs ntsc? power suplly works fine here?

used many of these sonys older ones, till they quit or get destroyed

may have good low light capabilites good image stabilizatiom

Sonys are often critisized for having light streaks, star effects, i hAVN't had that problem

here is video i shot, not sure if i used the best format/codec

www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWJapGTcDxk&t=1151s

small screen looks good, not really a big screen camera it seems

dark video, low luxe button probably isn't even on here, maynot have been even shot in HQ version, 4 diff choices
