Railfan Technology > Kenko Tokina medium format scanner KFS 1420bfDate: 06/03/18 20:00 Kenko Tokina medium format scanner KFS 1420bf Author: Railpax71 The most affordable medium format scanner I have found so far. I bought mine for 16,900 ¥ at Yodobashi Camera in Kamioooka. I scanned some 6x6 and 6x4.5 negatives for a test with positive results, and that inspired me to order some fresh film to shoot in my 120/220 roll film camera. They call this size "Brownie" here in Japan. Anyone else use this scanner?

In other words, does it perform a line-by-line scan of the original, or does it take a digital "picture" of it using a CCD like a digital camera uses? There is a difference. From what I understand these Kenko devices are imagers, not actual scanners. All I can say is, don't throw away your originals.
