Railfan Technology > 8 MM and Super 8 movies to DVDDate: 07/13/18 03:30 8 MM and Super 8 movies to DVD Author: DNRY122 Last year saw our local camera shop in Alhambra CA close its doors as the owner retired and moved north. He used to send in my home movies to be converted to DVDs. Any suggestions of places in the Los Angeles area (Pasadena would be best) that can accept old 8 mm and Super 8 firms for conversion?

Why not just put it on a small external of some sort? Otherwise it has to be ripped to the computer-unless you want to fool with playing a DVD each time to watch it. The new family MAC laptop doesn't even have a DVD player! Seems like an SD card, a zip drive or any number of othe solutions would be better. It appears costco can only do a DVD or Blueray. There are places which do not require using a DVD and can transfer to an external.
