Programming a BC-125 Scanner

Recently purchased a BC-125 Scanner and now I need to program it using the Uniden BC125 SS software.

Does anyone have recommendations or a "guide for dummies" on setting this up?

Yes, http://www.radioreference.com which is sort of the gold standard for scanners.  You can sign up for a free starter membership, get some tutorial help, and maybe most importantly, download databases related to your actual location.
