One more slide scanner question

Have searched past posts, but would like current and
updated info - - 

How would you compare Epson V550 vs V600 units ?

And, the V800 is pricier, but is it worth the added cost ?
I don't intend to use scans for publication or large prints.

Can't directly answer your question but I have a V700 and I think the output from 35mm transparencies stinks compared to most dedicated slide scanners I've tried.
