amateur radio on Amtrak trains and an introduction to
listening in to RR broadcasts.

I got my QST a few days ago.  Good article for those not aware of the railroad communications.  Limited to two pages, it discussed freight and passenger and explained a few of the terms that might be heard on the radio.  Those of us on Trainorders would probably know most of them but some could sure be confusing to others.  Nice overview of the defect detector.  

Thanks, Tim for the heads up, however, those that are not members of the American Radio Relay League will have problems getting access to the article.  It is only available to members.  You will not find it on newsstands.
