Good Free GPS for Riding Trains Measuring speed?

What's a good free GPS for easily measuring speed while riding a train?   I have a Samsung S7.  I typically use Waze for navigating, but it is annoying when on a train as it keeps wanting to fit you on to a road.

I am not familiar with Android, but there are any number of pretty good free speedometer-only apps available for IOS.  I would imagine there are comparable ones for Android.

I use one called "Speedbox."  Nothing fancy about it, just a speedometer.  No, I wasn't on high-speed rail when I captured this screenshot.  I was flying.

Speedbox works fine for me on my iPhone when riding trains.
