LP & Cassette to MP3 Recommendations Please

I have several LP records and cassettes of railroad sounds that I'd like to convert to MP3s to put them on my hard drive or burn onto CDs. I don't want to buy a $20 piece of junk but don't need professional equipment either. Can someone recommend a unit that can do a good job with both LPs and cassettes in the $200 price range.
