Do any of you have any words of wisdom on the Corel Paint Shop? How does it compare with Photoshop Elements? I can go either way or even both if need be. There's been years of changes though, so I'm not sure if that's worth anything. If you go with PSP let us know how you like it.

The've come a long way, baby! (if you're old enough to remember those 'Lady Slims' commercials) I've purchased 3 or 4 upgrades to PSE through the years and frequently used some of its newer features. I especially like it for it's ability to quickly bang through 100+ images at a time cropping them to photo printing sizes such as 4x6 and 5x7 rather than letting the photo printing software decide on its own how to crop each image.
As far as upgrading from the 2018 version to 2020 version goes, I suggest you ask yourself two questions first. #1 Does my current version of PSE have the features I use most of the time and those that I sometimes use? #2 Is the new and/or improved features with 2020 that I think I would use worth the cost of the upgrade? I'm still happy with PSE 13 which does everything I normally use it for. But then, I have Lightroom 6 as well where I do most of my editing. I was happy as a clam with both until I started getting multilayer/sub layered Photoshop images from church that I have to resize and shuffle layers to fit on a CD as I produce each Sunday message on CDs as well as online and email. PSE 13 couldn't handle the sub-layers so I 'joined' the $10/month club and get both Lightroom and the full version Photoshop. Except for handing those multi layer images, I much prefer PSE to PS...especially as the editing icons are considerably larger along the left than Photoshops "you really have to squint/hunt to find 'em" icons. Banging through 100-150 'keeper' images at a whack (I do various church events as well as RR photography), PS is simply too slow to navigate for me to use. It's intended more for editing 'to the hilt' than this PS hack would ever use. Saw the Corel for $34 on Amazon and was tempted, but then would be a whole new learning curve. I'm too old for this guano.
