I have a Pacific Image Electronics Powerslide X.  It uses 50 slide magazines, so I can load it up and start it going at night and when I get up in the morning they're done.  The current model is the Powerslide X Plus.

With a MSRP ≅ $1,800, it should do all that.  But I understand why people would pay for it.

I have an older model Pacific Image scanner which worked reasonably well, but it is tedious to use. The newer models sound more attractive. I did see a basic model on Overstock for about $100. On the other hand, there is always Scan Cafe, which I understand does it all at a reasonable rate. Perhaps there are other options.
