EBSR switching in East Brookfield MA
Author: bob01566

It has become standard practice for the East Brookfield & Spencer to use Q264's light power for switching the East Brookfield MA auto facility but much to my surprise, they were using their own power today - quite a treat!

#1 - On the siding, SD-40s EBSR 1272 and leased unit CEFX 3184 pull a cut of auto racks up to the entrance of the trans-load facility. Sitting on a storage track to the left is SW 1200 EBSR 1273, which, by the way is for sale.

#2 - EBSR switching at the entrance to their facility.

#3 - EBSR 1272 and leased unit CEFX 3184 spot some Auto-Max cars inside the auto facility in East Brookfield MA.

Enjoy -

Nice shots! Does EBSR just handle switching in the yard or is there a shortline they serve there as well?

Good catch, bro. Yesterday was a good day for both of us.

Beautiful looking pictures. HDR processing? They have the detail of a flatter image, but the punch of a more contrast-y pic!

Thanks for the kind words, and yes, there is an element of HDR in these.
I process my RAW files with various filters in DXO and save as tifs, then bring them into Photoshop for levels and color correction.
The secret sauce is selective use of the dodging and burning tools to bring out the right degree of "pop" and sometimes cloning out objects that might detract from the image.
I try very hard to NOT have them look like the average HDR...
Hope this helps -
Bob
