UP to greet and end the day
Author: Midnight_Goat

So many times on trips to and from Tehachapi I would start or end the day of taking pictures along the Mojave Subdivision between Lancaster and Mojave. Here are a trio of photos from 2015-2016 of Union Pacific trains kicking off or wrapping up the day...

1) Kicking off the day is UP's hot ZBRLC at Fleta. (03.12.2016)

2) Between Fleta and Ansel UP 2561 enjoys the last traces of sunlight as it sails east towards Cajon Pass and eventually West Colton. (11.07.2015)

3) Lastly the sun has set as UP 2549 races along the floor of the Antelope Valley coming into Lancaster, the sky holding the last trace of the day's colors just before dark. (10.20.2015)

Thanks for looking,
Ryan

# 1 without a doubt.  Clouds really help make this a good shot.

#1 is gorgeous, but the "hot" Brooklyn? We have a pool going based on whether or not it makes it up the hill on
the West side!

Great stuff. Love the mood on #1!

I've caught the Boeing parts car on the northbound ZLCBR/ZLCTM on several occasions, but haven't seen the return trip until now. Nice catch of the empties on the WC bound manifest.

Photo was taken in 2016, when the ZBRLC still seemed to carry some priority.
