Juniata Valley Railroad's JVR-1 rolls down Water Street in Lewistown on Friday June 18th, with 15 cars for Standard Steel & a loaded lumber car for Allensville Planing Mill on the rear.

Great shot !!   A short train compared to when it went behind my house on Pannebaker Ave., growing up in the late 60's.
It is great to see the train and Standard Steel still working!!

We need to get this nation back to more carload freight and get trucks of LOCAL highways, as much as possible.  Trucks are needed, ofcourse, but intermodal has dumped all kinds of previous carload traffic onto our highways, locally.

Door to door carload service is the REAL "green" way RR's should operate, as much as possible.

Great to see this little line doing well.
