Western Railroad Discussion > Gloomy weather....more storm photosDate: 10/26/04 13:23 Gloomy weather....more storm photos Author: Raylewis Well just got back from my trip to AZ, and the weather is pretty crappy here in Bakersfield so I am playing around with the computer yet again. The first shot is taken of Amtrak #6 out near Thisbe, NV...maybe Wunotoo, NV? That is what my slide says, and I dont have any timetables with me so I guess Ill stick with that. Ray lewis
Date: 10/26/04 13:27 Amtrak in Snow Author: Raylewis Here is Amtrak #5 passing under the signal bridge at Soda Springs. You can barely see the bridge in this heavy snow. To make it worst there was a steady "breeze", with 50mph gusts that day. This shot looks REALLY rough on my screen. I dont get this whole slide scanner thing. When I get them all set up on my computer, and then view them they look fine, but then when I post them they look very distorted. With my digital camera, its opposite. They look fine on my computer, and then also fine when I post them on TO.....is there a difference?

Date: 10/26/04 13:37 #6 in snow Author: Raylewis Here amtk #6 is about 1/2 mile track west of the signal bridge at Soda Springs. The snow stopped just long enough for the train to pass through the summit. Raylewis

acltrainman Date: 10/26/04 23:52 Crossbuck Illimuniation Author: cozephyr Crossbuck Illimuniation is a crackling success! Clear winner, in my humble opinion. Way to go, Ray!
