My Contest Entries for Consideration
Author: ColoradoRailfan

Hello-

Thought I'd go ahead and throw out my photos for consideration in this years contest. The competition has been absoultely amazing. I don't know how they are going to pick a winner with all the fantastic photos already posted.

1. Each year, the City of Denver (Colorado) always "decks out" the front of Union Station. This is looking down 17th Avenue in December 2006.

2. This one might make your head spin! A classic Rio Grande signal is silhouetted again the night sky and city lights from the town of Wellington, UT. We are at the east end of Mounds siding in Utah (UP Green River Sub). This was a half hour exposure started around 5:30am on the last day of September in 2006.

3. UP 844 makes a rare appearance on the UP Limon Sub east of Denver, CO, crossing over West Bijou Creek just outside Byers, CO.

4. The Colorado Rockies give the fans some pretty colors to look at while the Grand Luxe Express sits on Track 2 outside Denver Union Station.

5. The moon makes its way across the southern sky while the cross buck protects UP's Green River Subdivision not far from the siding of Wash in the Utah Desert.

Enjoy, and good luck to everyone!
