4449 and Crew perform multiple run-by's at the Livingston, MT. depot in Mid -October 2004. What an excursion the Montana by Steam II was!

I agree that Montana by steam II was a great excursion. Montana by steam I in 2002 was also a great trip. It's too bad that there won't be any more.

Cal's talking about Montana Rockies Railtours going out of business just after this unbelievable Oct. 2004 excursion. Their cars were sold off....although to good buyers and are being Amtrak upgraded. If 4449/Doyle and friends ever does this type of excursion again, two words: ride it.

How 'bout that! If you and I had our way, all the steamers would all be winners and those others would follow.....
