Great perspectives!

I love seeing the flow of dry washes from above--note where the vegetation is thickest, and you'll find water!

Not much hiking involved. There are lots of little hills you can drive the forest services to the base of them then hike up. I hiked the largest peak and it took about a hour to get to the top as you have to make your own trails. I know they are out there but so far have not ran into a snake yet.
