Western Railroad Discussion > Plain ExplorationDate: 07/09/13 19:26 Plain Exploration Author: espee4ever My first encounter with the Brush Sub came in my youth, traveling north with Dad to camp on Crawford Hill back in ’89. Some two and a half decades later, a little June evening excursion out that same piece of ex-CB&Q real estate found the DP on a northbound empty passing the local elevator whose history once included the Purina Corporation, as evidenced by the fading red checkerboard around the top. It’s amazing the places that look familiar but you’re not sure why for a while, and then it comes back to you.
