I'm guessing this is ex-CB&Q then double tracked by the BN for the Coal traffic. Mullens happens to be where I turned south on my only trip through the area. Lots of curves and gentle hills, not much else though, even the cows were vacationing somewhere else.

In my days with BN as a dispatcher out of Alliance ( pre BNSF ) I worked this job a lot. Then it was 15 miles of 2 main, 15 miles of single track for the most part and most of that was newly connected together from sidings.
