Nicely done run-by. I'm guessing this is ex-CB&Q then double tracked by the BN for the Coal traffic. Mullens happens to be where I turned south on my only trip through the area. Lots of curves and gentle hills, not much else though, even the cows were vacationing somewhere else.

Mullen, no s. In Q days it was a secondary mainline at best. In my days with BN as a dispatcher out of Alliance ( pre BNSF ) I worked this job a lot. Then it was 15 miles of 2 main, 15 miles of single track for the most part and most of that was newly connected together from sidings.

Can anybody tell us if they've doubled up those 3 stretches of single track between East Alliance and Ravenna?
