Sometimes you really don’t need a train to make the scene work. Sometimes the anticipation IS the scene. And it works. Rest assured, BNSF 5000 west will come along in about 8 minutes to fulfill pesky railfan demands. The clouds will have shifted and a bit of the color will have left the sky. But for the moment it’s that special time just before sunup when all is still and everything is right with the world…
