Wow - so much has changed at Elm St. in less than 30 years. The passenger station has been restored (with new platforms), the interlocking south of the crossing has been redesigned, boxcars are far less prevalent, cabooses are history, so are solid GP50 consists on mainline freights,
containers have taken over intermodals, and pulpwood flats have nearly disappeared.

Great catch on the first train with two GP40X's leading. I shot the 7000
at an EMD open house ten years earlier. That and a displayed Southern SD40-2
remain my only photos of Southern power.

Awesome video & look back to different times.
Things sure have changed a lot since then.
One thing that caught my attention was how many of the cars had RR names on them (owned by the RR) and not ABCX or XYZX leasing / private company owning the cars.
