this  Santa Fe hotshot Eastbound  with 221 ,turned up after a very sick looking lead SP helper passed downhill towards Bakersfield

must have been straight out of the box ..i think it was delivered May of this year 95

then right behind this, a slightly older 211 followed on i reckon the 991 train

Nice video. Amazing how fast the Super Fleet warbonnet rebirth went by when one looks back.

Even caught one one of the GP40X's in the first Santa Fe train.

First off, great video, thanks for posting.

I'm having some difficulty placing where the first two trains, helpers and the 223(?), were shot.  The
third train is obviously just below Tunnel 9 with the loop overhead.  I'm thinking that makes the first
two somewhere between Woodford and Walong although I'm not sure.  Some help would be appreciated.

Again, great stuff, thanks for post.

Nick -

It would appear that they were shot from the r-o-w at Walong, about where the tracks exit the side of Loop Hill - mho.

Great video, the horsepower per ton on that last train must have been great with all those big 6 axle modern units. Glad you got video of the "good ole days".

Yep, that's how it is supposed to look!  :-)  Amazing content, thanks for posting.  That was a long time ago, and too short a time!
