Two More CNW Slides Need a Location
Author: MartyBernard

Roger Puta shot these in July 1982, possibly in Wisconsin.  They are slides 14 and 15 from the same roll.  Can someone tell where Roger was?

Thanks,
Marty

The second picture looks like the Butler Yard engine facility.  Butler is a northwest suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  The first picture may also be at Butler.  There was a wye track on the north side of the engine facility there used for turning power.

But didn't two legs of the wye at Butler consist of mainline tracks (Adams Sub to Adams/Friendship and the line across the north side of Milwaukee to the Lakeshore and Fond du Lac lines)?  The track in the pic looks pretty weak for that.

I can rule out the "alco line"  :)

Looking on Google Earth there is a wye directly east of the engine facility that is probably the location of the first picture.  So I think Dennis (CNW) is right.
