Quick heads up sees UP 5504 leading CP6245 on a westbound grain train.

Train just approaching Banff at 1505 MT.

UP 5500 is leading CP 347 that has currently sat at Douglas. Road crossing on the New Westminster Sub. for the past 24 hours, UP 5501 is the DPU.....

They must be swapping power hours!

Here are a couple of shots from Gap this pm. Close to Canmore Alberta.

1. UP5504 West (grain unit train) nears west end of Gap

I was away since Friday morning but I think I heard on the scanner - "UP 55xx clear signal Bearspaw East" as I was passing Springbank. Might have been the 5500 mentioned earlier.

And now the 5504 as leader a couple of days later. Nice!

And like most of the westbound grain the past couple of weeks, an SD60 as second unit.

This one from earlier last week on a cloudy, rainy day also at Old Camp (Gap West).
