On the way home from work Monday I decided to take the long way around and stop at Point of Rocks, MD. These are the results from the evening. Thanks! yes, mainly un-saturate as the whole area is lit by those brownish street lights and then bring down the exposure a tad. I tend to overexpose just a little so it leaves some room for correction at the end. The painting with a spot light also helps in that regard as it brings out the colors on the subject and darkens its surroundings. That fourth shot with the lights behind the station just accentuated the scene. Date: 01/07/11 06:29 Re: Point Of Rocks At Night Author: Pepper Jon,
I agree, this is a great photo of the station and I would love to have a copy myself. Here in Point of Rocks, the Ruritan Club is circulating a memorial/petition to CSX to thank them for having plans to replace/repair the roof, and urge them to repair/restore the window that are in great need of re-glazing and all the wood sanded, caulked, and repainted. Keeping this great lady alive and well is all our concern. |
