NS Track Geometry Train
Author: cnotp

The NS track geometry train passed through Cincinnati several weeks ago. The time of day wasn't the greatest, but goodness only knows if I'd ever see this thing again...

That's a great paint scheme! Why the hell don't they paint their locomotives like that?

I wish they would. Plus I wouldn't mind if the trucks were silver or gray (like out west) which would make photography a no-brainer (like out west).

So that's what this is! I saw this pass through Winston-Salem, NC on Aug 27th and wondered what it is. Great paint scheme! What exactly does a Geometry train do?
