CN 8818 and CN 2113 in Durand, MI
Author: jkh2cpu

I've shot film and digital for the last 50 years, and although I have a camera that will make videos (Nikon D600), I was never interested in anything but stills. Well, a few weeks ago I saw and heard a pair of HESR GP28-2s making wonderful sounds shoving a string of cars back into the yard at Durand, and then the 20 month old granddaughter seemed worthy of more than snaps, so I read the manual, practiced video on the bulldozers ripping up our street (it's nearly back together now), and headed out for Durand, MI this morning.

I was not disappointed when I got to Durand: a train was on the way (397) and it was stopping in Durand to pick up some loads. I caught him on the High Wye on a move into the yard, then again later as he was shoving back off the High Wye and onto the Flint Main, and finally once he was underway again. Hope you like these.

John.

That is pretty nice! I don't believe I've seen the scheme on the 2nd unit.

Excellent resolution, and the images are STABLE, too. You've done very well...

Looks like 8818 had a nose job or at least a paint job. No CN noodle
