Looking at DRGW SD50 picts, I do not even see a bell. Where is it? I assume it is under the frame.

As for bells, since Sunrise went under, there are not a lot of choices. BLMA has flat ones. I would check Atlas and Kato websites for parts. I bought some there.

The DRGW SD50's were built to Seaboard System specs which included the side hood (Engineer's side) mounted bell, mail slot battery doors, and the Chessie standard, K5LA horn. Plus they also had Type F Bottom Shelf Tight-lock couplers, standard on all SBD and Chessie SD50's at the time.

Check Miniatures by Eric or if you can still find them, JnJ Trains 344-166.

Miniatures by Eric has the best bells available. They are the ones I use and he has several styles to choose from. Everything from High Hood NW to Chessie Long Hood Mounted.

Oh yeah. There it is. Back by the radiators.

Thanks for the link on Eric's. I did not know about him.
