Model Railroading > The Recent death of Sheperd Paine

Tonight i learned that Master Modeler and Historian Sheperd Paine passed August 2015. Sheppard Pain inspired me to push the envelopes of my modeling skills as a Child and I eventually carried over these skills to model railroading. RIP Condolences to the family.

The man could absolutely make a diorama, stellar work!

A true insporation to any modeller from the 70s. His diorama sheets in Testors and Monogram models were years before their time. His custom work was simply breathtaking!
Among many his scene of Napoleon visiting Frederick the Great's tomb, the gun deck of the HMS Victory, the scene inside the turret of the USS Monitor. From the MOnogram models, his C47 scene, the crash landed B-17, and so many others.
When I heard of his passing last year I felt as I had lost a life long friend.
