Passenger Trains > Zephyr ProblemsDate: 06/06/08 17:00 Zephyr Problems Author: Winnemucca I see 5 & 6 are running all kinds of grief between Denver and Chicago. I'm due to go thru there in 10 days or so. Weather / toronados, signal problems are the cause of all this. But that's only an assumption. Anyone know more than that?
Date: 06/06/08 18:24 Re: Zephyr Problems Author: czephyr17 You pretty much got it. Weather includes 7 plus inches of rain, flooding, several cars in an empty coal train blown over in Iowa by a suspected tornado, and just generally a big mess over a very long length of the BNSF Chicago-Denver main.
Date: 06/06/08 20:56 Mother Nature is Great! Author: MysticHowler Here in Omaha and most of the Midwest we have been getting wave after wave of storms. Starting Saturday evening we are expecting a week of "Scattered Storms". Some are rumored to be big whoppers again. However, knowing our meteorologists, it will be sunny this entire week, maybe a sprinkle or two.
