Passenger Trains > Sanford Sub trouble - May be three Amtraks stuck in mix

There seems to be some sort of issue on the Sanford Sub tonight that has both P098 and P052 (Meteor and Auto Train) held up. Not sure yet exactly what the problem is, but at last report, neither of them was moving. Anyone have any information?

Additional: looks like two freights and P092 (Star) may also be affected.

And more: now maybe three freights involved.

Sounds like CSX as usual can't even run in the hot climates let alone on the Cardinal route.

Lake Monroe draw bridge stuck open. Can't be repaired without new parts. CSX has them in route.

If they are coming on a CSX train, that ought to be an interesting trip!

Any time estimate?

REPAIR WITH AN ETA OF 2000. P09823 (SILVER METEOR) AND P05223 (AUTO TRAIN) ARE STOPPED AND P09223 (SILVER STAR) WILL BE

HELD AT ORLANDO.

2020 HOURS:

AIR PIPE LEAK HAS BEEN REPAIRED, BUT NOW REPORTING PRIMARY AND

BACKUP MOTORS ARE BURNT OUT. THEY WILL TRY TO CRANK DOWN THE BRIDGE WITH A

CRESCENT WRENCH.


BRIDGE DOWN AND LOCKED AT: 2248 HOURS 12/23/09

That bridge at times always been headaches out there! I ain't gonna froget hearin' that bein' the culprit when 1 and 92 were hours late gettin' into Jacksonville back in 94 when I lived out there while in the Navy!
