Pennsy Returns to Delmarva

After a 50 year plus hiatus, the Pennsylvania Railroad returned to the Delmarva Peninsula yesterday in the form of locomotive 8102.  The NS heritage unit provided a modern day version of the "Standard Railroad of the World" as the leader on the K64 road local from Newark, DE to the DCR interchange under brilliant skies. Photo locations are Kirkwood, the open fields south of Townsend, and rolling into the Clayton Interchange.

Who says you can't go home again ?

Nice chase, Gary! I think I like the PRR unit best of all of NS' heritage schemes. And 'thanks' for earning an IOTD!! Regretfully I don't get to browse my railfan cousins' work on the Eastern forum as much as I would like. So seeing your fine shot as IOTD brought me over here for a while... :^)

Nice chase and photos.  All of them are worthy--nice framing on each.  For being such an Eastern unit, I felt very priveledged to shoot it in Oklahoma in the past.
