Last Sunday was a windy one here in Southern California, but I made it out along with everyone else for the GE Demo 2024 making another westbound run on the UP. Not exactly news anymore, my tardiness due to a combination of internet problems and lack of free time...anyway, here's a trio of shots from Sunday afternoon featuring the big blue engine.

1) GECX 2024, UP 4467 and KCS 4161 made for a colorful lash-up as the chase began from the Beaumont Ave/Hwy 79 overpass in Beaumont.

2) Now in San Timoteo Canyon, just west of El Casco, your basic broadside of the IDILB.

3) On the way back home, I waited in Ontario on the, now double-tracked, Alhambra Sub for one last tele-wedgie.

Geez, might have to get HiWide clearances for your train with those new GE locomotives...

It still looks naked without some logo's ! And I hope when the RR's get them that they can mount the airhorns without doing the split arrangement .
