Enjoy the photos! Photo #1: Amtrak 80, the northbound CAROLINIAN, flies uphill through Lexington,NC in the morning sun. Photo #2: NS 214 heads north through Lexington with the class unit of the SD60E's, #6900, leading the way. NS P1W heads north with a nice pair of SD60s leading a C40-8W Photo #5: P1W is a fairly new turn job from Southern's New Spencer Yard in Linwood,NC to N&W's North Winston Yard in Winton-Salem,NC. PL05 is about through with it's work. Photo #14: NS 338 passing the Salisbury Switcher. (Notice how the door on the Dash-9 is tied open! Photo #15: An odd car/load on 338's train. NS P61 rumbles uphill at Five Row in Spencer,NC with a nice ex-Southern SD40-2 on the point. Photo #17: NS 204 meeting P61. Photo #18: NS PL05(Salisbury Switcher) is seen again as the train shoves westbound around the south leg of the wye in Salisbury,NC to work the asphalt plant at Majolica on the S-Line.
