CN 120 in Nova Scotia
Author: cn6218

Michael Berry had a splendid image of 120 leaving Montreal yesterday, with ES44AC 2911 leading, and the same power made it to Halifax today, albeit with what seemed like a rather short train, even after they added some junk in Moncton. The video was shot at the mile 44 detector on the Bedford Sub, in East Shubenacadie.

About 20 minutes earlier, 407 had gone west with 2270 and 2305. They are shown here at the location of the 2001 Ocean wreck in Stewiacke, NS. 120 and 407 met at Alton.

And since I was already more than half way to Truro, and the CBNS usually makes a trip from Stellarton on Sundays, I kept on going for this image of a pair of SDs in the G&W corporate scheme, about to enter the yard at Salmon River. Train 305 was almost two hours later than normal today, and although that worked in my favour for the sun angle, it also allowed a bank of cloud to move in and dull the scene a bit.

Another stellar example of interprovincial cooperation.
