Those were great units when they first came out. We got lots of them on the L.A. to Yermo runs. They had lots of power, killer dynamics, great paint scheme, and gave everyone a fantastic show when they shot flames out of the stack! Nice to see one in (almost) original paint.-BMT

I rember you could make the AC4400 blow flames... It was fun way to keep you up..

That was likely one of the Jeffrey Energy coal trains Run by BNSF from Eagle mine to Bridgeport, then UP Bridgeport to Jeffrey Energy center in northeast Kansas.

Appeared to be a UP train as the rear DPU was UP.

I really like that engine in particular because they put the UP patch intended for the inside of the cab over the old CNW number on the side of the cab above the CNW-font model designation. The UP number patch is also barely big enough to cover the CNW ball and bar on the cab side.

Jeffrey trains are now run with 1 UP and 1 BNSF up front with one UP unit running in DPU mode in the back. This is one of the Jeffrey Energy trains.
