Sept 8, 2006. Guessing most of these have been moved or cut up? Todd Montgomery Eugene OR Date: 01/13/11 21:27 Re: Tillamook OR Sept 2006 Author: asheldrake Todd, Scott indicates that POTB 101, the "moo unit", has been privately purchased and will remain on the coast
in Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad service. I think you're right, the rest have hit the scrapper. Arlen Date: 01/13/11 21:32 Re: Tillamook OR Sept 2006 Author: coosbaytoday That is too bad...lots of railroading history gone away.
Thanks for the information. Todd Montgomery Date: 01/13/11 22:17 Re: Tillamook OR Sept 2006 Author: mhall I love the cow unit I sure that I get the chance to see her. Thanks for the post Todd
Date: 01/14/11 07:04 Re: Tillamook OR Sept 2006 Author: GCRY_4960 Last time I was down there was late 2010. The 101 was still around as well as a couple of the SD9's as well as the other GP9. Who knows how long they will remain. I have heard that the 101 will NOT be scraped as it was going to be bought by someone or it was going to end up in the museum in Tillamook. I am sure those passenger cars are still there.
Date: 01/14/11 19:15 Re: Tillamook OR Sept 2006 Author: shannon The last engine to be cut up was the 3771. (ex SP) I talked to the owner of the company who scrapped the engines and he did not want the 3771 to be cut up. But he could not find a buyer for it.
The 101 will remain on the property for a while. Date: 01/14/11 21:02 Re: Tillamook OR Sept 2006 Author: smokebox Sad they saved the GP when the line was so well known for Cadillacs.

Thanks for looking and the comments. Todd Montgomery |
