BNSF and UP Power on I-ZLCAI cross the Mississippi River

On December 14, 2021, KCS Train I-ZLAAT (Expedited Intermodal - Los Angeles to Atlanta) behind BNSF 6395, BNSF 6386 and UP 2700, crosses the Mississippi River at Vicksburg, Mississippi with some nice drop under light courtesy of a thick cloud bank providing an ominous looking, but rain free canopy.  This train started life as UP Train I-ZLCAI and will become NS Train 226 when it reaches Meridian, Mississippi, about 140 miles to the east.

I agree with all above: This is a great shot in all respects. Killer sky & a great eye for composition! And I sure am glad it earned an IOTD. With my wind-storm power outage of 26+ hours I could easily have missed it... :^)

Excellent photo!  I fanned the Vicksburg bridge once, in the great MidSouth RR days.
Unfortunately, no traffic was around so I spent the day touring the incredible
Civil War battlefield not far away.

I also have to add my kudos to this dramatic photo. I too visited the area a few years ago. The Vicksburg battefield site was a gem to visit.
