Western Railroad Discussion > Railroad Mural in Riverbank, CADate: 10/12/05 10:23 Railroad Mural in Riverbank, CA Author: lynnpowell There is a new mural on a building on Third St. in Riverbank, CA. The mural is on the west wall of the building, so it should be good for an afternoon photo. The mural depicts a train crossing the Stanislaus River bridge in Riverbank. There is only one problem! The one and only locomotive on the train is a UP SD90; the actual bridge carries the mainline of the BNSF! Yes, the UP does have trackage rights here, but for the Oakdale Local to reach Oakdale.

I thought you were going to say it was an SP steam locomotive! mapboy Date: 10/12/05 13:11 Re: Railroad Mural in Riverbank, CA Author: Brian Actually it has been there for over a year, and as a "native" I wish I was consulted on what locomotive they used but oh well.
