Western Railroad Discussion > xCNW/GATX/UP Light Power move in the FRCDate: 10/26/05 17:49 xCNW/GATX/UP Light Power move in the FRC Author: RedOverYellow2 Caught this move Westbound just below CP 224 JAMES on the Union Pacific Canyon Sub. (Feather River Canyon )on Tuesday Oct 25,2005 while Big Trucking to Oroville, Calif. This light power move consisted of 9 engines with UP #4167 on point. Other notables in this consist was an xCNW unit UP#9817 and GATX #7353. They were moving fast, I first seen it at CP 248 MERLIN and by the time I reached JAMES I only had to wait 5 minutes. The entire day was cloudy but I managed to ask the GODS for just a few minutes of light, which I received with welcome arms ! ENJOY !

Those light power moves are pretty rare here lately, used to see those far more often. Thanks for the pic! |
