I think it's in reference to an EX ESPEE unit painted in

Actually I think he was referring to the ex SP engine on ex BN tracks. At least that is how I took it. Cool shot though.

Look at the wierd 45 degree angle of the red seperation stripe on the cab face. In a lot of cases, with the early lightning stripe repaints at Jenks, "it just ain't right" fits perfectly.

I was referring to the idea that this could be a beautiful clean SP 9824 instead of another in the sea of SD70M's.

IMHO the SD70M's were some of SP's finest looking units.
