Yesterday's MSJRV with ex DRGW 5390
Author: alex14ramos

Yesterday's MSJRV had ex DRGW 5390, now UP 8583, leading. I was hoping that the nose didn't have a UP shield on it. Not only was there a UP shield on it, but they patched over "Rio Grande" on the nose, bastards. I was planning on catching it at Oakland or somewhere near JLS, I decided to just go to Berkeley instead, glad I did. Right when I got to Berkeley it passed, so I headed over to Rodeo and managed to beat the train to the spot I wanted to catch it at by about a minute. Here is a 275mm and an 18mm.

Take Care,
Alex Ramos

ARGH! THOSE F___ING BASTARDS!

I like that shot along the shore a lot....it's a real pity they pasted over the Rio Grande on the nose.

Great photos Ramosman. It is kind of painful seeing the patch job for the first time however. At least the engine is still running though, it could've easily been dead lined.

good stuff Alex, not Lamos at all considering the weather is going to crap this week. Horrible timing with this storm with all of the ex-DRGW stuff running around the bay and the UP1983 back in town today again. The gloomy overcast sky with the sun peaking out at sunset gave you soem nice glint though...
