Please say a prayer for TO member PaulF
Author: samreeves

This just popped into my mailbox a few moments ago. Please say a prayer for Paul tonight if you can. I've found Paul a very personable fellow, an avid photographer, and whose heart was always in Essex, Montana. Paul was also a volunteer over at Niles Canyon Railway which has great meaning for me since I was onboard their train today before I recieved the news. Here is Paul's website of his railroad images from Marias and locally from Belmont:

Thanks.

Dear friends of Paul Flaherty,

It is with deep regret and sorrow that I am writing to you today

Please bear with me if you get this email more than once, this email
is being sent to everyone that Paul has listed in his personal contact

Thanks for posting his website and the link to his images. You couldn't pay him a finer tribute than by sharing his work with the rest of us. His 'spirit' is still with us . . . 'Dogh

I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

Although most of us have never met him in person you could get an idea of his personality through his postings and photographs. He won an honorable mention in our most recent photo contest:

Here are his photo postings on Trainorders.com

If you do a search of his postings on Trainorders you see that Paul really seemed to enjoy life as he traveled the world railfanning. I see his visited Japan, took cross country Amtrak trips, and railfanned pretty much all over. I also want to say he was an electrical engineer based on an IEEE posting he made.

Paul you will definitely be missed by all your cyber friends at Trainorders.

Rest in peace Paul

Just last night, I was digging through slides from 1999 looking for a particular photo when I came across a slide with Paul in it. We didn't do many outings together, but that particular day, we had gone out and barnstormed the former Santa Fe around Pittsburg, CA. Like everyone else, I found him to be a really great guy. I was just thinking how it had been a while since we corresponded...
