Caught this in LIttle Rock on January 9, 2001, unpatched and looking pretty good. Is this the only one left like it?? GP40P-2 right??

I don't know, I saw one this morning as a 3rd unit on a UP train pulling into Albina Yard. Couldn't see the number but it was clean and unpatched.

That is the last one that hasn't been patched. Also the best looking of the three GP40P-2's 7600, 7601, and 7602. The other two of them are patched(I don't know the exact numbers off hand) and the 7600 was the only one painted in "speed lettering". It's great to see it still looking sharp. I'm glad that I got pictures of it last year when it was in California. Little Rock is a little far to drive.

It probably is.......there was only 3 GP40-2P's. 7600 is suppost to become 1300 and the GP40-2's start at 1301. A trace on SP 7600 shows she is in Missouri. SP 7601 and 2 do not show.

For those who care 2 of the 3 original GP40p-2s are assigned to st louis area locals and transfers as I am typing this. SP#7600 still in full SP speed lettering is at UPs lesperence st yard on the St louis side of the river. Her sister UP#1373 a patch job in rather worn SP paint is assigned to the other side of the river in Dupo ,Illinois. The #1373 has been at dupo for over a month now and the #7600 arrived the area in the last week or so.
