Western Railroad Discussion > A Big Mojave Thunderstorm Weekend?Date: 09/03/06 07:11 A Big Mojave Thunderstorm Weekend? Author: CimaScrambler For those in So Cal that have been waiting for this opertunity . . .
The remains of Hurricane John appear to be moving up the Gulf of California. The projected track of the moisture and energy varies depending on which climatic model results you look at, but the general trend is at least some and possibly a lot of activity over the Mojave Desert, western Arizona, and southern Utah over the next few days. Stay out of that wash near Caliente, NV !! But can you say monsoonal clouds and lightning providing cool storm light on the Needles Sub? For more info, look at the forcast discussion on the Las Vegas page for NOAA's weather forcast website: http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/total_forecast/index.php?zone=nvz020&county=nvc003&wfo=vef&dgtl=1&lat=36.175&lon=-115.13639 Date: 09/03/06 08:38 Re: A Big Mojave Thunderstorm Weekend?
