Just put in a couple of quarts of oil and start her up.

I bet my house Matt Rose never personally cleans this unit up, now BNSF will probably clean this unit up in a couple weeks.

What is the most likely cause? Something on the engine itself, maybe one power assembly, or failed seals on the turbo?

Probably blown turbo seal.

I wanted to look under the hood but the catwalk, railings, and doors were just too gooey. I would have ruined a jacket and maybe pants and boots. I told my conductor to get up there and open the doors for me so I could take a picture of the inside if anything was wrong. His response gesture was, shall we say, not in the spirit of the season.
