Western Railroad Discussion > In and around Salt Lake last weekendDate: 02/23/07 16:26 In and around Salt Lake last weekend Author: MrOGDEN Hello TO people!
Caught the SD60 2203 (ex60 ? the first I've seen in new paint) I played around with the lighting near Roper. Then the next on was a Westbound West of Salt Lake the next morning. Date: 02/23/07 16:36 In and around Salt Lake last weekend Author: MrOGDEN Then while we was talking with a rail inspector, I heard a Eastbound train coming in not thinking of what it was, UP1983 was scheduled to be in Roper the night before around 8 o'clock WRONG! Then we went to look for some' more trains, I noticed this strange cloud.. wtf? So we wondered back into the yards and rostered this ex MP GP38-2. Not the best weekend, but I had a few surprises.
Thanks for looking. MrOGDEN Date: 02/23/07 17:10 Re: In and around Salt Lake last weekend Author: midwest I show the following SD60s repainted. I'm sure I've missed some that have new paint, as I'm only casually tracking them:
UP 2174 UP 2176 UP 2198 UP 2203 UP 2220 UP 2230 UP 2233 UP 2235 The 2174, 2198 and 2203 have yellow frame stripes. Midwest Date: 02/23/07 17:41 Re: In and around Salt Lake last weekend Author: Jeff Strange cloud is a stack of lenticular clouds. Usually condensate bus sometimes ice crystals. Forms over mountains when the conditions are favorable. Watching out for this type of could is a big point in pilot training. Jeff
