UP Heritage Unit Train--Tentative Schedule
Author: Hermosa44

This is the schedule, as of Monday morning. There will be three locomotives--1996 will lead, then 1989 then 1995. No consist has been posted, but it will, as reported before, be the ZCSSC-25.
LV Chicago 8:30PM (6-25)
Arr. Clinton, IA 12:35 AM (6-26)
Arr.Beverly, IA 2:24 AM
Arr. Boone, IA 4:43 AM
Arr. Missouri Valley, IA 7:10 AM
Arr. Fremont, NE 8:13 AM
Arr.Grand Island, NE 10:23 AM
Arr. North Platte, NE 1:35 PM
Arr. Cheyenne, WY 6:55PM--Lv. Cheyenne 7:15PM
Arr. Rawlins, WY 10:55 PM
Arr. Green River, WY 2:40AM (6-27)
Arr. Ogden, UT 7:47 AM
Arr. Salt Lake City, UT 8:55 AM

This is the latest information I have--it is from Union Pacific, and it is TENTATIVE at best, but it is at least a starting point. I will try and post more later tonite if I get better or updated information.

Anyone have an idea where the Heritage units will be placed in Salt Lake City on Wednesday and Thursday? Also direction to that location. Thanks. - Ken from Arkansas

My guess is they will keep them in Roper yard until Saturday. 2100 South Next to I-15 on the west side off the freeway. I would suggest get you pictures before they get into the yards. Or wait until Saturday. Railroad police here are not very reasonable. Beware of dark blue explores.

And at what time of day does the 844 leave Fremont Tuesday morning?

That schedule is wishful thinking at best judging by the recent escapades of the ZCSSC.

They will go to the Intermodal facility early Fri and get a bath. Company photographers get a crack at them on Friday. Invited railfans should arrive a little early on Sat as they may let us in earlier than scheduled time (12:00) if they can.
